ABOUT THE BAND:
MEER is an eight-piece alternative pop orchestra from Hedmark, Norway. The band started out as a duo back in 2008, and has since then developed into an eclectic collective. MEERs music is a mix of orchestral pop, classical music and progressive rock. Their sound is far form minimalistic and in constant motion, with grandiose string arrangements and polyphonic vocals. The band has been playing under the name Ted Glen Extended until this fall. In 2012 the band released a five-track EP, witch gained a good amount of attention. The song Cabin Pressure became a local radio hit, and the newspaper Hamar Arbeiderblad gave the EP 6/6 and called it ”unique and incredibly beautiful” in their review. MEER is releasing their debut album in January 2016. Night By Day, the first single from the album, was released in September, and has already been recommended by radio program NRK P3 Urørt and is A-listed on NRK P1 Hedmark og Oppland.

OM BANDET:
MEER er en alternativ popoktett fra Hedmarken. Siden bandet startet som en duo i 2008, har de utvikla seg til et sterkt og eklektisk kollektiv. MEER kaller musikken de lager progpop – en miks av orkestral pop, klassisk musikk og progressiv rock. Lydbildet er detaljrikt og i konstant bevegelse, med storslåtte styrkearrangementer og flerstemt vokal.Bandet har spilt sammen under navnet Ted Glen Extended fram til i høst. I 2012 ga bandet ut et femspors EP. Låta Cabin Pressure ble en lokal radiohit, og Hamar Arbeiderblad ga EPen terningkast 6 og kalte den ”unik og utrolig vakker” i sin anmeldelse. MEER slipper sitt første album i januar 2016. I september slapp de Night By Day, første singel fra plata. Låta har allerede blitt spilt og anbefalt av Urørt og er A-listet på NRK p1 Hedmark og Oppland.
